battery cage - a young persons guide to heartbreak [met461 | 2006]

An album considered by most to be their best, 'A Young Person's Guide To Heartbreak' was the first Battery Cage album to move them out of the industrial ghetto and prove that they were truly unshackled by genre conventions. With stylistic shifts from pure synthetic ambience to ultra heavy guitar driven rock, the album still manages to remain coherent across a dramatic story arc compressed into seventy minutes of high intensity emotional music.

The band preceded the release with a US tour in support of Stromkern in 2005, which helped form the songs as they appear on the album. The compact disc versions contains twelve panel full color artwork. The album was released by Metropolis Records in 2006.
